Our story and mission

Learn about Donata's Wreaths Across Walker County, GA, our journey, and our commitment to honoring veterans. Join us in celebrating patriotism and community spirit.

Inspired by Donata Walker's vision

Donata's Wreaths Across Walker County, GA was born from the heartfelt vision of my late mother. Her desire was to honor all veterans by placing a wreath on their gravesites each December. My father, a proud Navy veteran, rests at the TN GA Memorial Park. They met and married when he was stationed in the Philippines. My mother became a US citizen and embodied Americanism and patriotism. Supporting veterans has become a cause very dear to our hearts, carrying forward her legacy of honor and remembrance.

Building community, providing support

Beyond the symbolic act of laying wreaths, we aspire to achieve much more for our community and veterans' families. Our primary goal is to grow a vibrant community of like-minded supporters who share our dedication. We also aim to connect veterans with essential resources and support services, ensuring their well-being extends beyond recognition to practical assistance. Together, we can create a lasting impact.
